You may or may not know that I do personal development reading pretty much every day. I have been doing other types of personal development over the years but never reading - I've always thought "reading is for when I'm still in school, I'm out of school, I don't need to read, blah blah blah" and boyyyy was I wrong! Just last summer, I picked up reading and strive to do a little each day. I've finished a couple of books, LOL. But one of my main goals for this year was to read 10 pages (or more) every day so by the end of 2018, I would have read at least 3650 pages - which equates to about 10-15 books (depending on the pages, of course). The reason why…

Fitness: Why I Started & What Does It Mean To Me Today

Fitness, Motivation, Personal Development
NYOB ZOO! You may know that I competed in bikini/figure bodybuilding shows in the past; some may know that I body-build; some know that I power-lift. I've always been very intrigued with women who are strong and fit. So one day I finally took it upon myself to make the change in my daily routine by adding exercise. Why did I get into Fitness? I got asked this question and here I am to answer it. Question is why did I get into fitness; there's actually a couple reasons why. Keeping my competitive edge alive Growing up, I was always active as a child - although it wasn't thru playing sports, my cousins and I would play outside all the time, chase each other, race, have friendly competitions against each…

Things to know before you decide to compete.

Fitness, Motivation
If you have follow me for a while, you know that I have done a few competitions in my journey. I have always been a competitive person growing up. Although I wasn't involve in any competitive sports, I remember as a child, my cousins and I would race to see who's faster, we play sports for fun, and even compete on stage as a dance group in front of an audience. We all eventually grew out of dancing and I don't play sports like that because I just find that I don't do as well. After I stopped dancing, I wasn't as active as I used to be. So I have to do something to keep my competitive edge alive. When I started my fitness journey, I would follow any…

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA from this blog post. I have been focusing on some personal things in my life. Plus, I haven't been feeling too well over the last few weeks. WHY I’m going VEGAN

WHY I’m going VEGAN

Motivation, Nutrition
If you haven't already seen my previous post, I have pledge to go VEGAN. What is Vegan? The Google definition of Vegan is : a person who does not eat or use animal products; using or containing no animal products. That means: No animal flesh of any sort: beef, lamb, chicken, salmon, etc. No clothes made from animals: leather, fur, etc. No products that were tested on animals: makeup, lotion, creams, toothpaste, etc. I did a 14-Day Vegan Experience last month. When I finished, I did make the choice to be a vegetarian. I've always considered myself an animal lover. I love zoos, aquarium, wherever there's animals, I loved going! My Love for Animals Growing up, my parents raised chickens, ducks, sometimes pigeons. I always helped my parents feed the chickens and…

My 90-Day Transformation

My 90-Day Transformation

Fitness, Motivation, Personal Development, Uncategorized
WOW! It has been an incredible 90 days with this journey. Although I felt like I had to "restart" my whole fitness journey again, I'm glad I decided to take control of my life and stopped being the victim. Sometimes I tend to let life take control of me instead of me taking control. In the next few paragraphs, I will be explaining why and how I gained weight. And in the video, it will explain and show what I did to lose the weight. How I gained weight. I like to consider myself a strong and positive individual who always try to see the light in every situation. But every strong person has a breaking point. A lot has happened in just this past year that really took a…
